Export, restore and deletion

Download a complete JSON backup, restore it into an empty account, or permanently delete the account. A Time CSV is a separate export for one date range.

Export the whole account

Settings › Your data downloads a complete JSON backup of the workspace: clients, projects, phases, tasks, entries, reports, templates and settings.

  1. Open Settings and choose Your data.
  2. Press Export all data.
  3. Keep the downloaded phased-studio-export.json file somewhere safe.

Restore a backup

A backup can be restored only into an empty account. Restore never merges records with existing work and never overwrites an existing workspace.

  1. Sign in to the empty account and open Settings › Your data.
  2. Press Restore from backup and choose the JSON file produced by Phased.
  3. Wait for the app to reload with the restored workspace.

Delete your account

Account deletion permanently removes the account and its workspace. There is no recovery, so export first if you want to keep a copy.

  1. Open Settings › Sign-in & security.
  2. Press Delete account at the bottom of the section.
  3. Confirm your identity with the account password. On a Google-only account, a recent Google sign-in counts. Otherwise press Confirm with Google and return to the form.
  4. Press Permanently delete my account.

Deletion signs the account out and returns the browser to sign-up. Other sessions for the same account stop working as well.
